La Clínica Julian R. Davis Pediatrics

Locations

On March 1st 2017 La Clínica officially welcomed La Clínica Julian R. Davis Pediatrics into our growing family. Located in a converted two-story house in East Oakland, the addition of Davis Pediatrics is helping La Clínica expand services in the neighborhoods where our patients live.

Davis Pediatrics’ patients represent a diverse population. The committed, talented staff at this site provide high-quality culturally appropriate care in multiple languages to nearly 3,000 pediatric patients a year – babies, children, and teens – who, like many La Clínica patients, would not have access to healthcare without this practice.

La Clínica Dental at Children’s Hospital Oakland

Locations

Since 2003 La Clínica Dental at Children’s Hospital has been providing high quality dental services to children of Alameda County and surrounding areas. We are one of the few pediatric dental health centers in Northern California to offer dental care to children with special needs including medical issues, developmental challenges, and more. We treat children from infancy into early adulthood. We perform a variety of dental services including prevention and restoration as well as minor oral surgical procedures. For patients with physical or mental limitations, who cannot be safely treated in an office setting, we provide dental care under general anesthetic in UCSF Children’s Hospital Oakland’s operating room. Our priority is to treat patients who cannot be treated elsewhere, and to provide routine care to children from our local community.

We provide a wide scope of care to all of our patients, including preventive care (exams, cleaning, polishing, hygiene, fluoride, sealant treatment), general dentistry, pedodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics and orthodontics.

Casa de Luz

Locations

In 2012, with the support of Contra Costa Behavioral Health Services, La Clínica opened the Oakley Specialty Mental Health Clinic. Originally housed with La Clínica Oakley Medical, the specialty mental health clinic’s move to a new site just across the street from their previous location in early 2018 with the support of the Vesper Society. This short relocation has allowed for more time and service offerings at the new site, Casa de Luz (House of Light).

Casa de Luz is named in honor of the spirit that La Clínica’s late Behavioral Health Director, Leslie Preston, LCSW, brought to La Clínica’s Behavioral Health Program and her instrumental role in establishing an independent site for Oakley Specialty Mental Health. Leslie was always a bright light to the clinic staff and the children and families of Oakley Specialty Mental Health.

Casa de Luz provides specialty mental health services in both English and Spanish. Services include case management, outpatient mental health services, crisis intervention, and collateral services. Services mainly take place in the clinic, but Oakley clinicians are able to meet clients in their homes, schools, local churches, or in the community, as needed.

The Casa de Luz clinic is well known in Oakley, Brentwood, and Antioch schools and the Concord Family Justice Center. School psychologists, counselors, and teachers have reported marked positive changes in children as a result of mental health services. Since opening in 2012, the Oakley Specialty Mental Health program has provided services to over 1,000 youth and their families and hopes to serve many more in the years to come.
