The Fremont Wellness Center opened its doors in 2000. At the Fremont Wellness Center, we use an integrated care model to provide holistic comprehensive support for our patients. We serve current students at Fremont High School and recent graduates up to age 21. We provide medical services including reproductive health, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), sports physicals, and immunizations. Patients are also seen by a clinical health educator who conducts one-on-one appointments that cover issues ranging from sexual health to nutrition. In addition, we offer behavioral health services to students through an onsite behavioral health specialist. We also support community health education through the Fremont Youth Wellness Advisory Board (YWAB), a group comprised of peer health educators who are passionate about changing and improving the health of their school community.
Locations
Youth Heart Health Center is a School Linked Health Center in the La Escuelita Education Center. All students that attend schools in the La Escuelita Education Center are welcome to use the center including students from La Escuelita Elementary School, MetWest High School, Dewey High School, and Yuk Yao Annex/Centro Infantil Annex Child Development Center. Siblings of students can access all services, as long as the siblings are between the ages of 3-21. Health insurance is not required and all services are provided without charge to students.
During COVID-19: We are accepting phone appointments for new and existing patients, ages 3-24. In person appointments are only available as needed. Students can make medical, counseling, and health education appointments. We will have a medical provider available by phone 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, to answer medical questions, give advice, and send medication refills to pharmacies during school closures. On March 1st 2017 La Clínica officially welcomed La Clínica Julian R. Davis Pediatrics into our growing family. Located in a converted two-story house in East Oakland, the addition of Davis Pediatrics is helping La Clínica expand services in the neighborhoods where our patients live.
Davis Pediatrics’ patients represent a diverse population. The committed, talented staff at this site provide high-quality culturally appropriate care in multiple languages to nearly 3,000 pediatric patients a year – babies, children, and teens – who, like many La Clínica patients, would not have access to healthcare without this practice.

Since 2003 La Clínica Dental at Children’s Hospital has been providing high quality dental services to children of Alameda County and surrounding areas. We are one of the few pediatric dental health centers in Northern California to offer dental care to children with special needs including medical issues, developmental challenges, and more. We treat children from infancy into early adulthood. We perform a variety of dental services including prevention and restoration as well as minor oral surgical procedures. For patients with physical or mental limitations, who cannot be safely treated in an office setting, we provide dental care under general anesthetic in UCSF Children’s Hospital Oakland’s operating room. Our priority is to treat patients who cannot be treated elsewhere, and to provide routine care to children from our local community.
