At La Clínica, we are committed to building partnerships with institutions to collaboratively address both the worsening health care workforce shortage and the increasing demand for the services we provide.

For many transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, barriers to better health can come in the form of lack of culturally competent providers or previous experiences in discriminatory and hostile clinic environments. To address this, La Clínica opened TRIUMPH in October 2017 that offers a gender affirming model of care and creates a welcoming medical home for transgender communities in order to increase access to comprehensive health care services.

La Clínica celebrated the Open House for its newly expanded La Clínica Children’s Dental Clinic. Nearly 55% of the more than 6,000 patients served annually are medically compromised. This site is only one of 2 children’s dental clinics in Northern California that serves pediatric patients on Medi-Cal that need special care and the only children’s dental clinic in the country that is connected to a Children’s Hospital Level 1 Trauma Center.

The recent completion of the expansion of La Clínica North Vallejo has increased the number of exam rooms from 9 to 15, which will more than double the number of patients we can serve annually from 4,600 to 10,000. La Clínica North Vallejo site is one of our fastest growing health centers. The number of patients served has more than tripled from 1,400 in 2008 to 4,600 in 2011.
