Thanks to the mighty efforts of many staff members in 2017, La Clínica Oakley Behavioral Health opened early 2018 as La Clínica’s newest service delivery site.

The day before being released from prison after having served more than 28 years, Lawrence Finney was told there was a kidney available for him to receive as a transplant. He accepted the transplant and spent an additional two months in prison receiving care. When Lawrence arrived in California, he had less than two weeks of medication left, no primary care doctor, and he was desperate to control some complications that had arisen with his transplant. Fortunately, Lawrence was linked to care through the North Vallejo Transitions Clinic.

Dr. Pescetti is retiring this year after a professional career of more than 31 years in medicine. He served many roles at La Clínica during his 24 years here and took some time to provide a unique perspective of his work in the community.
