When I first found out I was pregnant, it was a huge deal because this is my first child. I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I was new to the area and someone referred me to La Clínica Great Beginnings here in Vallejo.

I didn’t know how to handle things and so during my first visit at Great Beginnings, they first made sure I was pregnant. After that, they went with me through every step of my pregnancy, with all their classes and services.

I also love the fact that they’re five minutes from my house. It’s close, and being pregnant for the first time, you’re very unfamiliar with everything. I was very comfortable in asking weird, crazy questions, and they would know all the answers, or get somebody who could help me with that.

I couldn’t be more grateful for all the staff. They helped me from beginning to end with extra services like getting our belly casting done which was awesome. They’re so friendly and helpful and you just feel really comfortable. That’s very important, especially going through such a journey in your life. Every time I go to Great Beginnings, they ask about my baby and it’s sweet. It’s nice to know it’s like a family.

La Clínica has made the hugest difference in my life. I mean, they helped me [have my baby] here. The whole pregnancy experience with them has been wonderful.

I would definitely recommend La Clínica to anybody.

“What I love about La Clínica is the staff, and the fact that they’re so close to where I live.”

LA CLÍNICA VALLEJO GREAT BEGINNINGS

Since 2006, La Clínica Great Beginnings has been the only medical facility in the Vallejo area providing comprehensive perinatal services to underserved women. As a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP), we offer a variety of enhanced support services in addition to prenatal and postpartum medical care. The goal of this program is to promote healthy birth outcomes for mothers in Solano County by providing nutrition, health education, and psychosocial assessments, behavioral health screenings and support services. These vital services for mothers and their unborn babies are the first step in enabling a child to lead a healthy and happy life. Collectively, they have helped more than 12,600 expectant families bring their babies into the world. They are committed to providing a “great beginning” for families in our community and focus on maximizing the well-being of both mother and baby.
