Chief of Planning and Strategic Advancement
Anita Addison is the Chief of Planning and Strategic Advancement and is responsible for strategic planning, facilities development and management, fund development, and grants management. She joined La Clínica in 1989 and serves as La Clínica’s primary project coordinator for major capital projects, which has included the Fruitvale Transit Village, San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center, and La Clinica Monument sites. Prior to coming to La Clínica, Ms. Addison served as the Planning and Development Director for the William F. Ryan Community Health Center in New York City. She has also worked for the Spanish Speaking Unity Council, which is a community development corporation based in Oakland’s Fruitvale District.
Ms. Addison has been a guest speaker on clinic capital projects at conferences sponsored by Capital Link, the California Primary Care Association, and the National Association of Community Health Centers. She has provided technical assistance to a number of California clinics on capital project development through the Community Clinics Initiative of the Tides Foundation, and served on the advisory committee for the Center for Health Design’s safety net clinic design project sponsored by the California Healthcare Foundation.
Ms. Addison holds Master’s degrees in City and Regional Planning as well as Public Health from U.C. Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Stanford University. She has a certificate in Project Management from UC Berkeley.
