Celebrating Half a Century of Community Impact
The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound impact on the health, social and economic well-being of people in our community and around the globe. Sadly, many in our community have experienced its tragic consequences, including the suffering and loss of loved ones, lost jobs and livelihoods, and reduced social connections and isolation.

2020 Highlights
La Clínica Rolls Out Its New Electronic Health Record
Since April 2020, we have officially transitioned to our new electronic health record system Epic. In spite of the challenging times and competing demands related to the COVID-19 pandemic, our dedicated team pushed through and was able to complete the last portion of the two-year-long project remotely while remaining on schedule. As a result, we’re better able to effectively manage and provide patient care as well as efficiently collaborate with other organizations to achieve and sustain better health outcomes for the communities we serve.
La Clínica thanks all our donors and supporters who made this achievement possible.
Our new electronic health record went live on April 2020; as a result, we’ll be able to achieve and sustain better health outcomes for the communities we serve.
La Clínica Stands in Solidarity with Black and Brown Communities
COVID-19 starkly illustrated what we long recognized: poverty and social marginalization lead to worse health outcomes. In addition, national outcry over racial injustices led to renewed attention to the multiple ways race and socioeconomic factors affect communities, especially communities of color.
That’s why La Clínica and its staff decided to stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and promote racial justice for our Black communities and our allies of all backgrounds, as well as continue the work to dismantle health inequities in our communities.

La Clínica, UCSF, and Partners Host Mass COVID-19 “Test and Respond” Campaign in Fruitvale
Through this campaign, La Clínica and its community partners collected critical data to better inform public health officials and advocates involved in the care of the Fruitvale community, including highlighting the great need for more testing and increased support for income, housing, and food, as well as the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on certain communities.

Virtual Fundraiser Commemorates 49 Years of Service to the Community
La Clínica commemorated 49 years of connecting communities to better health at our 2020 annual virtual celebration. While we were unable to celebrate in person, our online festivities allowed us to show gratitude to our familia for their support during trying times and fundraise to ensure access to healthcare services for the communities we serve. Through the support and generous investments of our donors and sponsors, we raised $88,984 overall!
