Official Name: San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center
The San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center (SANHC) is located in the midst of the East Lake District, one of the most multi-cultural districts in Oakland. Residents from Mexico, Central America, Ethiopia, Eritrea, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and many other countries come to SANHC for comprehensive medical care services. Staff speak over 12 different languages in order to serve patients in their preferred language. SANHC expanded in 2007, almost doubling in size. The health center now serves approximately 12,000 patients including children, teens, young adults, pregnant women, older adults and patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension.
