La Clínica Hosts California Surgeon General Dr. Burke Harris
La Clínica hosted California’s first Surgeon General Dr. Nadine Burke Harris to learn about our collaborative work around toxic stress prevention and mitigation for community members. The visit was part of Dr. Burke Harris’ statewide tour to raise awareness about the link between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), toxic stress and serious health conditions.

All That Jazz (& Sushi!) Celebrates 48th Anniversary

La Clínica celebrated 48 years of connecting communities to better health at our 2019 annual gala. We welcomed more than 300 guests at the lively Yoshi’s Jazz Club & Japanese Restaurant in Oakland to celebrate and dance to the Caribbean rhythms of legendary John Santos. Through the support and generous investments of our guests and sponsors, we were able to raise $101,170 at the event alone and more than $342,000 overall!
